Rosezelia Schleinz

June 27, 1954 — June 16, 2024

Rosezelia "Rose" Schleinz, a beacon of warmth and care in the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, in Grand Rapids, MI, after a valiant battle with glioblastoma. Born on June 27, 1954, in Pensacola, FL, to George and Amalia White, Rose was the cherished youngest sibling among twelve, her life a testament to the strength and love of a large family.

Rose's journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family, a passion for helping others, and a gentle spirit that brought laughter and joy to many. She shared 47 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Paul Schleinz, a partnership defined by mutual respect, love, and an abundance of cherished memories. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including sons Glen Weekley (Deborah) of FL, Bryan Weekley (Merideth) of FL, Jonathan (Jessica) of MI, and daughters Mikal Bos (Clifton) of MI, and Whitney Schleinz of MI. Rose's legacy continues through her adoring six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each a shining light in her life.

Rose's commitment to nurturing others extended beyond her family. After studying nursing at Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC), she devoted her career to serving as a Home Healthcare Nurse. Her intelligence, coupled with a genuine friendliness, made her an exceptional caregiver. Rose's patients often remarked on her ability to ease their burdens with not just her medical expertise, but also with her humor and the sincere connections she forged with them.

A woman of many interests, Rose found solace and pleasure in reading, crocheting, and spending time in the tranquil beauty of northern Michigan. These simple joys were only surpassed by the time she spent surrounded by her family, her most treasured moments.

Rose's impact on the world can be measured by the laughter she inspired, the comfort she provided, and the friendly conversations she was always ready to engage in. Her intelligence radiated not just through her knowledge, but also through the thoughtful ways she interacted with those around her. She had a unique talent for making people feel heard, understood, and valued.

As we say goodbye to Rosezelia Schleinz, we are reminded of the light she brought into our lives. She will be remembered not only for her funny anecdotes and friendly demeanor but as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Rose's spirit, a blend of compassion and vivacity, will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

In honor of Rose's life and legacy, her family will gather in a private ceremony to celebrate her life. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love that she so freely gave.

Rose's journey on this earth has come to a peaceful end, but the imprints of her life will forever be etched in the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire us to live with kindness, to cherish our loved ones, and to approach life with the same grace and humor that she did. Rest in peace, dear Rose. Your memory will bloom eternally in the gardens of our hearts.
