Duane Cowgill

Duane Clearance "Wayne" Cowgill, age 69, of Coloma, passed away on February 6, 2024, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was born on October 2, 1954.

Known for his calm and peaceful demeanor, Duane was a hardworking man who always aimed to avoid trouble. He cherished his Monte Carlo and a van that he kept running with bubble gum and electrical tape. Duane found joy in helping others and held a deep love for his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather, Kristopher, and Holly, as well as his sisters Gale, Wendy, Frieda, and brothers Ronnie and Donnie. Duane also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Additionally, he was dearly loved by Deedie Mays, Deb, her daughter, and grandson.

Duane's hobbies included working on his cars, assisting others whenever possible, and enjoying motorcycle rides.

A gathering to honor Duane's life will be held on June 15, 2024. Kristopher, Heather, and Holly will provide further details regarding the location. The family has requested attendees to wear a flannel plaid shirt and jeans in his memory.
