Carolyn Benoit

June 4, 1962 — October 16, 2023

Born on June 4, 1962, in Burlington, Vermont, Carolyn Jean Benoit found peace on October 16, 2023, in Ionia, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family.

In her final years, Carolyn resided with her daughter, Theresa. Together, they created cherished memories - whether it was shopping, taking walks with her grandson, Roman, reminiscing with her mother, Wilma, or playfully teasing her son-in-law, Joshua, about his deer hunting adventures.

Carolyn's love for her family was boundless. Roman and Carolyn often shared laughter over their playful jokes. Carolyn found joy in watching Roman practice football in the backyard or attending games when she was able.

Throughout her journey, we are immensely grateful to the dedicated doctors at McLaren Lansing who provided exceptional care and unwavering support. Their expertise enabled Carolyn to navigate her challenges with grace and courage.

Carolyn's memory lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her doting mother, Wilma Benoit, her daughter, Theresa Duckett, who lovingly held her hand when she passed, alongside her husband, Joshua, who stood with her through the toughest times, as well as her grandson, Roman. Carolyn's memory also live on through her brothers, Robert (Khanh) Benoit and Daniel Benoit, who offered their love and support. She is predeceased by her sister, Rebecca Benoit, and her father, Robert Benoit, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to cancer research organizations in honor of Carolyn. Your contributions will support the ongoing efforts to find a cure and provide hope for those facing the challenges of this relentless disease.
